About me

Ashley Baker supports non-profit organizations in crafting compelling stories about their work. After completing her bachelor’s in chemistry (with honors) at Sweet Briar College in Virginia (2015), she was inspired by sustainability innovations to move from the laboratory to communications and outreach. While in Washington, D.C., Ashley collaborated with global brands and national non-profits alike to deliver engaging narratives about safer chemistry. A storyteller at heart and drawn to the Pacific Northwest by a love of nature, she completed her Master of Science in Multimedia Journalism at the University of Oregon (2020). As a writer and videographer, Ashley is guided by principles of community and relational engagement. After completing a six-month yoga teacher certification program in Zürich (2023), Ashley is back in D.C. continuing her adventure. With global experience in project management for scientific and sustainability-focused organizations, she brings her positivity and passion to creating resilient, inclusive communities alongside purpose-driven organizations.
